Most of these images are of paintings and drawings of mannequins. They seem to hover between paint, plastic, and humanity. Reminding me of our bodies, they are really just empty vessels, not to be mistaken for real people. Their source is usually another figure, just as, in Christianity, the human was fashioned in the image of God.
Many of the floating images were borrowed from Lois Greenfeild's Dance Photography. The coffee cups were borrowed from a landfill, and the mountainns from Earth. The phrase "La la la" was borrowed from a tune by Loreena McKennit when I was stumped for something lofty to say.....
